POSITION SUMMARY

The Account Strategist serves the agency across all fronts. S/he’s the consummate Type A personality, buttoned up, extremely organized and an exceptional communicator. This person must be a student of the business – a self-initiator who has a gut for marketing and is continually striving to learn more. As a vital part of the WilsonMcGuire team, s/he works closely with clients and the creative team to spearhead digital, social and traditional marketing strategies.

This position requires strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, exceptional presentation and organizational skills. S/he must be detail oriented and able to juggle multiple jobs at once. S/he must maintain a positive attitude and be equally as comfortable on the front lines with clients as behind the scenes. This position is responsible for identifying strategic insights, managing client expectations, negotiating with media and analyzing campaign results (monitoring and reporting website analytics, lead generation and social media results).

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops marketing strategies
  • Writes marketing plans
  • Puts appropriate metrics and analytics into place
  • Plans and negotiates media
  • Monitors media insertions & reconciliation
  • Maintains day-to-day client relations
  • Mines clients for more business
  • Creates and delivers client presentations
